Rains in western Indonesia leave 5 dead, 2,700 homes flooded 🇮🇩

A total of 17 villages in 2 sub-districts of the Gresik Regency area were flooded. The two sub-districts are Benjeng and Balongpanggang. Floods hit as a result of heavy rains which caused the Lamong River to overflow. The height of the flood due to the overflowing of Kali Lamong reaches 80 cm. The flood also caused water to overflow into village roads, damaging a number of public facilities, residents’ houses and agricultural land.
